Efterklang are a Danish post pop group hailing from the capital of Copenhagen. Formed in 2001 their name literally means remembrance and reverberation.
The main group are Casper Clausen , Mads Brauer, Rune Ma Igaard, Thomas Husmer, & Rasmus Stolberg. They are complimented live by pianist Anna Bra, guitarist Frederik Teige and violinist Peter Broderick
Records have been released on The Leaf Label and also on Rumraket, their own Danish Label meaning space rocket. Other artists on Rumraket are Slaraffenland, Taxi Taxi!, Canon Blue, amiina, Cacoy, Erik Levander and Grizzly Bear.
Efterklang can be found experimenting with many various personnel on their recordings. From guest musicians to filmmakers such as Karim Ghahwagi. Another notable contributor is Nan Na Hvass the artist behind the acclaimed artwork for Parades , Under Giant Tree and the Mirador Video
