Injuns are a band like no other. Since their birth in 2003 on the remote Isle of Skye, they have seamlessly blended genres, created wonderful lyrical universes, and cemented their reputation on the front line of Scotland's new music scene.

Born of sheer joy in all kinds of music, Injuns' sound seems to flow from some alternate reality - a place of beach organs and bomb shelters, of midnight mail trains and gold-rush ghost towns, of wild tigers and a break-neck strip-the-willow on a trestle table - a place where the vacant, twisted worries of the 21st century are some distant, harmless myth.

Nowhere is their startling originality and musicianship more evident than on the stage - over the last couple of years, the band have left both festival and club audiences speechless, earning a rare 5 star live review from The List, winning T-break in '06, and supporting acts as varied as Mylo and the Mystery Jets.

The band's debut album, Lionel, It's A Complicated World, was released to universal acclaim in April 2007 - Radio 1's Vic Galloway calls it 'Triumphant' and The Scotsman calls it 'Thrilling', and selected it for their critics' choice of 2007.

In December of 2007, the band also produced the debut of their alternative musical, Scary Love. Combining dilapidated Victorian grandeur with haggard Dickensian nostalgia, Scary Love tells the story of a lonely ghost's love for a living woman. In debt to the devil, and with a trio of deranged love rivals, his tale soon spirals into a nightmarish vision of a drunk and baffling underworld. First performed to an intimate audience in Skye's Aros theatre, Scary Love is a show of astonishing musical impact.

Injuns are scheduled to release two new singles over the summer, with an album featuring songs from the musical, and other tales, following later in the year.
