MAINTAIN was formed by Gino Garofalo (Bass/Lead Vocal) and Jason Gutierrez (Guitar/Vocal) as a vehicle for songs they had begun writing and recording in 2001. The addition of extremely talented and seasoned players Rahsaan Dorsey (Keys/Vocals) and Joakim Ekberg (Drums/Percussion) has created a unit which has far
exceeded their musical expectations.

MAINTAIN's funky, soulful grooves combine the influences of artists such as The Isley Brothers, Stevie Wonder, Jimi Hendrix, Prince & Little Feat in such an original way that it takes the music into a new era. Having played together for 7 years now MAINTAIN has matured and evolved into a world class recording and touring act. Exciting to see and hear, this is one of the most original bands to come out of the Los Angeles area in decades. In a sea of copycats and imitators this band truly is a breath of fresh air! The songs that creates have blossomed over the years without any pre-conceived concepts or formulas.
