Initially the group created nihilistic distorted-bass driven house in order to cleanse their palettes from previous Bristol-based projects Antistar and Antiba. The results of these early jams was an uncompromising sound falling somewhere between Death From Above 1979 and 65DaysOfStatic that was explored as the band became familiar with the setup, each other and themselves. Over time the jams were mercilessly edited to reveal the deeper melodies within leading naturally into individual tracks. Neon Highwire offer up everything from precision and lean pop reminiscent of Devo to sweltering builds that hark as much of towering electronic influences like Daft Punk as avant-garde art punk like Sonic Youth. The band's efforts culminate with the impending release of their début EP titled Luminescence. It features the tracks Don't: Wait, Isometric View & the single Under Moonlight, as played on BBC 6Music.
