``New York Tourists formed in April 2009 and started gigging in August of the same year.
Its been a hectic start for the band, They recorded their demo at MJM studios in August it received rave reviews and put the band firmly on the map from the off!
Since then the gig offers have come flying in with support slots with The Paddingtons (twice), Florence and The Machine and The Futureheads, just to name a few.
2010 promises to be a great year for New York Tourists with a tour in the offing and their already large fan base expanding with every gig they play.``
