Walter Meego is a band from
History
The name Walter Meego comes from 'alter ego'.
Justin Sconza and Colin Yarck met in college at the
Walter Meego started out as a collaboration between Justin and Colin in
2003. Justin had already been circulating four-track tapes under the name
"Walter Meego" in
Justin, Colin and Pat recorded Walter Meego EP in 2003. In January 2004,
Justin, Colin and Pat began performing regularly throughout
In the summer of 2005, Pat Pelligrini quit Walter Meego. Soon after, Jarrett
Spiegel came on to replace him. After a string of shows and inner-band turmoil,
Spiegel was later replaced with Andrew Adzemovic.
Their song "In My Dreams" closed out the April 24, 2008 episode of
Ugly Betty. Their song "Forever" was featured, again, on Ugly
Betty, this time in the May 15, 2008 episode. Both tracks are featured on their
Voyager album. "Forever" was also featured in the Heineken Beertender
commercials airing Spring and Summer of 2008.
Critical Response
Rough Trade in
Critics have said that it's really fun pop music with a strong human element.
Their songs almost always have choruses and verses. They use all sorts of
things to make sounds which they later turn in to the music that their fans hear.
Music writers have said they think Justin's voice is very pleasant and
unique.
